There is something so satisfying about making something with your own two hands! What can I say....It makes me HAPPY!!! My love of handmade items has been passed down to me from my mom who for many years helped support our large family by selling her handmade items. (Thanks mom!)

Happily Handmade incorporates so much of what I enjoy. I get to sew a little, glue a little, play around with different color schemes, and design all sorts of things. The wheels in my head are always spinning about what I can create next! I have an absolute obsession with paper. I love it! The possibilities are endless. So many colors, so many patterns, so many textures. So much fun!

I really enjoy entertaining and throwing parties. Much of what I offer at Happily Handmade has come about through use first at my own parties. It is the little touches that help make a party successful. I always appreciate a good party where you can tell the host/hostess has put a lot of thought and effort in to ensure everyone will have a good time.

I don't know about you, but I hate to lose track of my drink at a party, that's what inspired my different kinds of paper chalkboard tags. Besides looking cute, they are totally useful. You just write your name on the tag and you know its your glass the rest of the party. No more mix-ups! In between mingling with friends usually food is involved. Well, I want to know what I'm eating! So that's what inspired my different kinds of chalkboard signs that are great to use at a buffet table, dessert bar, etc. No more guessing! And I've thrown many a baby shower and anniversary party, usually there's some sort of game to be played or instruction to be given like , 'help yourself to a party favor', so it's convenient to be able to write down the needed info on a chalkboard sign so your guests know what's going on.
